Section 9-10-4 - General inspection

All livestock, including poultry, when delivered to a public livestock market, whether held in outside pens, yards, sheds, barns, vehicles, crates or coops (whether loaded on vehicles or unloaded) or other places on such market premises, shall be inspected, and shall not be offered for sale, sold or exchanged until inspected, passed and released by the veterinary inspector.

Public livestock market operators may be required to report weekly to the livestock sanitary commissioner the number and kind of livestock received from out of state, the name and address of each consignor, and the number or location of the port of entry through which the livestock entered this state.
