Section 36-1-34 - Driver qualification standards

(a) Each SVC driver shall:
(1) possess a class A
chauffeur's or commercial driver's license (CDL) with all appropriate
endorsements.
(2) have a minimum
of two years combined experience driving a truck-tractor-semitrailer
combination;
(3) have at least one
year of experience in driving multiple trailer combinations; and
(4) have completed:
(A) a supervised SVC driver training program;
and
(B) a road test provided by
the employer company.
(b) No more than one year may have elapsed between a driver's certification to these standards and the last time the driver was employed to operate truck-tractor-semitrailer combinations.
