Section 28-46-45 - Salt solution mining well operations; fees

(a) Each permittee shall submit an annual permit fee of $12,000 per facility and $175 per unplugged salt solution mining well to the department on or before April 1 of each year.

(b) Payment shall be made to the "Kansas department of health and environment - subsurface hydrocarbon storage fund."

(c) The fees collected under this regulation shall be non-refundable.

(d) If ownership of a salt solution mining well or salt solution mining facility changes during the term of a valid permit, no additional fee shall be required unless a change occurs that results in a new salt solution mining well or expansion of the facility's operation.
