Section 28-35-314 - Shielding and safety design requirements

(a) An expert who is qualified in shielding and safety design requirements shall be consulted in the design of each particle accelerator installation and shall perform a radiation survey when the accelerator is first capable of producing radiation.
(b) Each particle accelerator installation shall be provided with the primary barriers or secondary barriers, or both, necessary to ensure compliance as specified in K.A.R. 28-35-212a and K.A.R. 28-35-214a.
