Section 28-1-31 - TB prevention and control plan

(a) Each college designee and university designee shall implement a TB prevention and control plan.
(1) The TB prevention and control plan shall
include a TB evaluation component for each student determined to be a high-risk
student, which shall include the following as necessary:
(A) Tuberculin skin testing;
(B) interferon gamma release assay;
(C) chest radiograph;
(D) sputum evaluation;
(E) physical exam; and
(F) review of signs of symptoms.
(2) The TB prevention and control
plan shall provide notification to the department if a student has been found
to have latent TB infection or active TB, in accordance with K.A.R. 28-1-2
.
(b) Each postsecondary educational institution shall be in compliance with this regulation within 12 months after the beginning of the academic year following the effective date of this regulation.
