Section 19-26-1 - Treasurer's duty

All contributions or other receipts received and all expenditures or other disbursements made by or on behalf of a candidate or committee shall be received or made by or through the treasurer. For a contribution or other receipt to be received or an expenditure or other disbursement to be made by or through a treasurer, it must be received or made by a person who is the agent of the treasurer either by prior approval or by ratification. In either case the treasurer is required to keep records of the transaction as if received or made by the treasurer.
