Section 14-14-13 - Permit to import small quantities of wine

(a) A permit to import into this state small quantities of wines to be used for bona fide educational and scientific tasting programs may be issued by the director to the Kansas state fair or any bona fide group of grape growers or wine makers. Each organization shall apply for the permit not less than 45 days before the tasting program is to be held. Wines imported in accordance with this permit shall not be resold.

(b) Each request for a permit shall include the following information:

(1) The date and time of the tasting program;

(2) the exact location where the tasting program will be held;

(3) the brand, type and quantity of wine to be imported; and

(4) a statement that any wine samples offered will be consumed on the premises and in accordance with the provisions of Kansas law.

(c) A copy of the permit issued by the director shall accompany the wine imported into this state at all times.

(d) This regulation shall take effect on or after January 2, 1989.
