Section 123-12-311 - Drunkenness, intoxication, or altered consciousness

(a) No offender shall be drunk, intoxicated, or in a chemically induced state of altered consciousness at any time. An exception to this prohibition shall be any instance of an altered state of consciousness induced by prescribed medications taken in accordance with instructions from and while under the care of qualified medical personnel.

(b) Each violation of this regulation shall be a class I offense.

This regulation shall be effective on and after April 8, 2005.
