Donations of money, new clothing, books, games, recreational equipment or other gifts shall be made directly to the commandant or designee. The commandant or designee shall evaluate the donation in terms of the nature of the contribution to the facility program. The commandant or designee shall be responsible for accepting the donation and reporting the gift to the commission. All monetary gifts shall be acknowledged in writing to the donor and reported to the Iowa ethics and campaign disclosure board.
