Rule 721-26.202 - Post-election Audit Time Frame

(1) A post-election audit shall be completed not later than 12:00 noon three days after the county canvass of votes.

(2) At least 24 hours prior to the audit start time, commissioners shall post the time and location of each audit.

(3) A representative selected by each of the two political parties whose candidates received the highest number of votes statewide in the preceding general election shall be invited to observe the hand count. The commissioner shall notify the county chairperson of each political party a minimum of two days before the hand count of the time and place of the hand count.

(4) If an invited representative does not appear at the hand count, the commissioner shall notify the state commissioner.
