Rule 721-25.10 - Hearings

(1) If a hearing is desired by the complainant, a request for a hearing on the record shall be included within the complaint or made by submitting a written request for hearing no later than ten days following service of the answer by the respondent.

(2) If a hearing is desired by the respondent, a request for a hearing on the record shall be included within the answer.

(3) Hearings shall be conducted pursuant to rules 721-25.23(17A) through 25.26(17A).

(4) Notice of the time and place of hearing will be provided to each party by the presiding officer. When possible, a written notice will be served upon each party a minimum of seven days prior to the time of hearing. If the circumstances underlying the complaint necessitate expedited resolution prior to a pending election, the period of notice may be shortened and notice may be provided by facsimile, telephone, or E-mail.
