Rule 657-43.6 - Policies and procedures

A licensed 3PL shall establish, maintain, and adhere to written policies and procedures that are in compliance with standards established pursuant to federal and Iowa law and which address, at a minimum, the following:

1. Storage practices;

2. Maintaining adequate security;

3. Receipt, inventory, shipment, and distribution of product;

4. Theft or loss;

5. Inventory errors and inaccuracies;

6. Manufacturer recalls and withdrawals;

7. Emergency and disaster plan;

8. Records, including the retention period for all required records;

9. Drug diversion detection and prevention; and

10. Outdated, adulterated, or suspect products.
