(1) Vaccine administration. A pharmacist who is authorized to administer vaccines pursuant to the statewide protocol may administer, including via delegation to authorized pharmacy personnel, any vaccine pursuant to a prescription or medication order for an individual patient. In case of a serious complication, the pharmacist shall notify the prescriber who authorized the prescription within 24 hours and shall submit a report to the Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting System (VAERS).

(2) Medication administration. A pharmacist may administer, including via delegation to authorized pharmacy personnel if so delegated or authorized by the prescriber, any medication pursuant to a prescription or medication order for an individual patient. In case of a serious complication, the pharmacist shall notify the prescriber who issued the prescription within 24 hours and shall submit a report to the United States Food and Drug Administration Adverse Event Reporting System (FAERS).
