Rule 641-12.9 - Confirmatory testing

(1) Reports for alcohol shall be confirmed by gas chromatography, or a test that is recognized by the department as an equivalent test before being reported as positive (or negative).

(2) Reports for drugs or their metabolites, other than alcohol, shall not be issued in the absence of confirmation by GC/MS or a scientifically equivalent test approved by the department.

(3) Complete chain of custody procedures shall be used for referred samples.
