Rule 421-31.7 - Program funding sources and related provisions

(1) Sources of funding may include state, federal, and other funds made available to the division for the purpose of assisting units of local government, judicial districts, and local public planning entities in improving the criminal and juvenile justice systems. The division may combine funding from federal and state appropriations and grant programs to distribute through any of the methods outlined in rule 421-31.3 (216A, 232, PL 93-415 ), as allowable by the sources of the funds.

(2) Other funds. With the advice of the JJAC and the councils, the division shall, consistent with applicable state and federal law and regulation, determine the distribution methods, eligible applicants and any allocation formulas to be used when making such funding available.
