Chapter 21 - COMMUNITY SERVICES BLOCK GRANT (CSBG)
Rule 421-21.2 - Purpose

The CSBG as established by the Omnibus Budget Reconciliation Act of 1981, Public Law 97-35, Title VI, Subtitle B, as amended, provides assistance to states and local communities, working through a network of community action agencies and other neighborhood-based organizations, for the reduction of poverty, the revitalization of low-income communities, and the empowerment of low-income families and individuals in rural and urban areas to become self-sufficient.

Pursuant to Iowa Code section 216A.92, DCAA shall administer the community services block grant.
