Rule 21-66.12 - Movement of Food-producing Animals and Their Products Into the State

All movement in Iowa of animals which are raised for food production and intended for feeding or slaughter purposes, and which originate from countries which allow a use of chloramphenicol, prohibited by 21 CFR, Part 555, Revised as of April 1, 1983, shall be acCornpanied by a certificate that documents such animals are free from any residue of chloramphenicol drugs.
This rule is intended to implement Iowa Code sections 189.15 and 189.17.
