Rule 199-11.11 - Common and Joint Use

(1) Common use construction. Whenever an overhead electric line capable of operating at 69 kV or more is built or rebuilt on public road rights-of-way located outside of cities, all parallel overhead electric supply circuits on the same road right-of-way shall be attached to the same or common line of structures unless the commission authorizes, for good cause shown, the construction of separate pole lines.

(2) Relocating lines. When a transmission line is to be constructed in a location occupied by an electric line or a communication line, the expense of relocating the existing line shall be borne by the electric company proposing the new transmission line. The electric company proposing the new transmission line shall not be required to pay any part of the used life of the existing line, but shall pay only the nonbetterment expense of relocating the existing line.
