Rule 193-7.3 - Commencement of a Contested Case and Probable Cause

A contested case in a disciplinary proceeding is commenced by the filing and service of a statement of charges and notice of hearing. A contested case in a nondisciplinary proceeding is commenced by the filing and service of a notice of hearing. A contested case may only be commenced by the board upon a finding of probable cause to do so by a quorum of the board.
