Section 2-5.2 - Insurance

Sec. 5.2.

A supplier licensee must obtain or maintain, or both, insurance in a minimum amount determined by the commission. The supplier licensee shall obtain or maintain, or both, the following types of insurance:

(1) Liability.

(2) Casualty.

(3) Capital loss.

(4) Fire.

(5) Theft.

(6) Worker's compensation insurance.

(7) Any other type of insurance the commission deems necessary to ensure the supplier licensee is adequately insured. After the commission issues a temporary supplier's license to the applicant, the commission shall direct the executive director to advise the applicant, in writing, of the amount of insurance that the applicant must obtain or maintain, or both. The supplier licensee is under a continuing duty to maintain the prescribed amount of insurance. Failure to comply with this section may result in the revocation of a temporary supplier's license or the denial of the issuance of a permanent supplier's license.
