Section 2-16 - Drawing additional cards

Sec. 16.

(a) A player may elect to draw additional cards if the player's count total is less than twenty-one (21). A player with a blackjack or a hard or soft total of twenty-one (21) may not draw additional cards.

(b) A dealer must draw additional cards to the dealer's hand until the dealer has one (1) of the following, as determined by the riverboat licensee:

(1) A hard or soft total of seventeen (17) or above.

(2) A hard total of seventeen (17) or above. A dealer may not draw additional cards to the dealer's hand once a point total as listed in this subsection has been reached.

(c) A dealer may not draw additional cards to the dealer's hand, regardless of the point total, if decisions have been made on all of the players' hands and the point count of the dealer's hand will have no effect on the outcome.
