Sec. 20.1.

"Hydrostatic leak test" means a test performed by filling a boiler or unfired pressure vessel with water or other incompressible liquid and pressurizing the vessel to a predetermined pressure. This method of testing is used to detect leaks and to determine the overall integrity of the vessel, especially after a repair or alteration has been performed.
