Section 3-12 - Notice of unsafe boilers and pressure vessels; corrective measures; suspension of inspection certificate

Sec. 12.

If, upon inspection, a boiler or unfired pressure vessel is found to be unsafe for further operation, the inspector shall immediately notify the division and the owner or user shall immediately suspend operation of the boiler or unfired pressure vessel. The division shall issue an order to suspend the operating permit and to stop operation as set forth in IC 22-12-7-6 and IC 4-21.5-4 to the owner or user stating what repairs or other corrective measures are required. Until such repairs and other corrective measures have been made or adopted, no further operation of the boiler or pressure vessel involved shall be permitted.
