Sec. 17.
(a) Delete the first two (2) sentences of text in Section 362.10 and substitute to read as follows: For the purpose of this section, a story is that portion of a building included between the upper surface of any floor and the upper surface of the floor next above, except that the topmost story shall be that portion of a building included between the upper surface of the topmost floor and the ceiling or roof above. If the finished floor level directly above a usable or unused under-floor space is more than 6 feet above grade for more than 50 percent of the total perimeter or is more than 12 feet above grade at any point, such usable or unused underfloor space shall be considered as a story.
(b) In Item (1) under Section 362.10, delete "floors above grade" and substitute "stories".
(c) In Item (2) under Section 362.10, delete "floors above grade" and substitute "stories".
(d) In Section 362.10, delete the exception to items (2) and (5) and add a statement to items (2) and (5) to read as follows: Where the building is provided with an approved automatic sprinkler system throughout, ENT is permitted to be used within walls, floors, and ceilings, exposed or concealed, in buildings exceeding three stories.
