Section 1-13 - Transfer procedure

Sec. 13.

(a) A school corporation may expend money under a different classification than is designated under its approved plan as long as:

(1) the expenditure is for the same location; and

(2) funds are available in another classification.

(b) The governing body must at a regular public meeting adopt a resolution determining the transfer in classifications is necessary.

(c) A transfer under this section does not require the approval of the department of local government finance.

(d) The school corporation must notify in writing the county auditor and the department of local government finance of the transfer.
