Section 4.7-52 - Alternative mixed age groupings

Sec. 52.
For the purpose of maintaining continuity of care, centers may mix children six (6) weeks of age to thirty-six (36) months of age in one (1) classroom under the following conditions:
(1) A child/staff ratio of 4:1 is maintained.
(2) The maximum group size is eight (8).
(3) Each group shall have no more than three (3) children under twelve (12) months of age.
(4) The center's program, furnishings, and equipment shall meet the developmentally appropriate needs of all the children in the room.
