Rule 7 - Scrapie Flock Certification Program
Section 7-1 - Scrapie flock certification program established

Sec. 1.
(a) The state veterinarian shall establish a voluntary scrapie flock certification program in the state. The purpose of the certification program is to provide a program by which owners may certify their flocks as being free from scrapie by maintaining compliance with certification program standards.
(b) The state veterinarian may do the following:
(1) Cooperate with the United
States Department of Agriculture in establishing and operating the scrapie
flock certification program in the state.
(2) Establish a scrapie flock certification
program advisory committee to advise the state veterinarian on implementing the
scrapie flock certification program.
(3) Designate official animal identification
for the purpose of participating in the scrapie flock certification program.
Official scrapie flock certification program identification may be different
than official identification for flocks not enrolled in the certification
program.
