Section 2-23 - "High-risk animal" defined

Sec. 23.
" High-risk animal" means a sexually intact animal that meets one (1) of the following criteria:
(1) A female genetically susceptible exposed animal.
(2) The female offspring of a scrapie-positive female animal and any female genetically less susceptible exposed animal that the state veterinarian determines to be a potential disease risk based on the epidemiology of the flock, including the following:
(A) The genetics of positive
animals.
(B) The prevalence of
scrapie in the flock.
(C) The
history of recurrent infection, if any.
(D) Other relevant characteristics.
