Rule 6 - Closure
Section 6-3 - Applicability to previously closed UST systems

Sec. 3.

When directed by the commissioner, the owner and operator of an UST system permanently closed before December 22, 1988, shall assess the excavation zone and close the UST system in accordance with this rule, and the closure must be performed by a person certified under the rules of the fire prevention and building safety commission at 675 IAC 12-12, if releases from the underground storage tank may, in the judgment of the commissioner, pose a current or potential threat to human health and the environment.
