Section 5-1 - Purpose; scope; applicability

Sec. 1.

(a) This rule establishes standards, criteria, and procedures for the following:

(1) General rulemaking petitions.

(2) Petitions for equivalent testing or analytical methods.

(3) Petitions to exclude a waste produced at a particular facility.

(4) Exemptions to be classified as solid waste.

(5) Exemptions to be classified as a boiler.

(6) Additional regulation of certain hazardous waste recycling activities.

(7) Exemptions from land disposal restrictions.

(8) Notification and legitimate recycling of secondary hazardous materials.

(9) Procedures for the hazardous waste electronic manifest system.

(b) Final decisions of the commissioner made pursuant to this rule are subject to the notice requirements and procedures under IC 4-21.5.
