Sec. 5.

(a) An individual seeking certification who is certified as a solid waste facility operator by an accrediting organization in another state may be designated a certified operator for a facility that is comparable to the facility that the individual is certified to operate in another state.

(b) A request for a certificate from the commissioner may be made by submitting the following:

(1) An application on forms approved by the commissioner.

(2) A copy of a valid solid waste facility operator certification from an accrediting organization in another state.

(c) Upon receipt of a certificate from the commissioner, the individual seeking reciprocity may begin to operate a facility comparable to the facility for which certification was received from another state.

(d) A certificate issued under this section is valid for one (1) year from the date of issuance.
