Section 31-4 - Post-closure certification

Sec. 4.

When the post-closure care requirements of this rule have been completed, the owner or operator of a restricted waste site Type I or Type II or nonmunicipal solid waste landfill shall submit a certification statement signed by both the owner or operator and a registered professional engineer states that the post-closure care requirements have been met and the facility has stabilized. The post-closure certification will be deemed adequate unless within one hundred fifty (150) days of receipt of the post-closure certification, the commissioner issues notice of the deficiency of post-closure, including actions necessary to correct the deficiency.
