Rule 6.1 - Minor Source Operating Permit Program
Section 6.1-2 - Applicability

Sec. 2.

The following sources shall apply for an air operating permit as described in this rule:

(1) A source that meets the applicability criteria of 326 IAC 2-5.1-3(a)(1) and is not exempted under section 1 of this rule.

(2) A source with the potential to emit below the Part 70 thresholds as defined in 326 IAC 2-7-1(22) that includes:

(A) a chromium electroplating tank;

(B) a chromium anodizing tank; or

(C) an operation subject to 326 IAC 20-8.

Sources consisting only of decorative chromium electroplating tanks that use a trivalent chromium process that incorporates a wetting agent that are subject to 326 IAC 2-5.5 are exempt from this rule.

(3) A source that meets the criteria for an exemption under 326 IAC 2-1.1-3 or a registration under 326 IAC 2-5.5-1 that elects to apply for a permit under this rule.
