Section 1-77 - "Land use" defined

Sec. 77.

"Land use" means a specific use or management-related activity, rather than the vegetation or cover of the land. Land uses may be identified in combination when joint or seasonal uses occur. The categories of land use are as follows:

(1) Cropland.

(2) Developed water resource.

(3) Fish and wildlife habitat.

(4) Forestry.

(5) Industrial or commercial.

(6) Pastureland (or land occasionally cut for hay).

(7) Recreation.

(8) Residential.

(9) Undeveloped land.

Changes of land use or uses from one (1) of these categories to another is a change to an alternative land use that is subject to approval by the director.
