Sec. 23.

(a) Short-term and long-term disability benefits are not subject to adjustment based on increases in Social Security or pension benefits. Once the amount of Social Security and pension benefits are set, they will be treated as if they remained constant for the duration of payments under this rule, such that no further offset will be made to reduce benefits under this rule.

(b) General salary adjustments granted to all employees in the disabled employee's classification:

(1) shall cause the disabled employee's base gross biweekly wage to be adjusted; and

(2) will result in an increase in benefits under this rule.

(c) Performance based increases and bonuses will not be awarded to employees on short-term or long-term disability.
