Section 8-5 - Monitor health care services

Sec. 5.
(a) Written policy, procedure, and practice provide that a system is developed and implemented by the health care authority to review and monitor health care services. The necessary elements of the system shall include the following:
(1) An annual review of the health care
policies and procedures.
(2) A
review and evaluation of the health care data, including the following:
(A) Complaints and grievances.
(B) Offsite transports.
(C) Hospital admissions.
(D) Serious injuries to juveniles and
staff.
(E) Contagious disease
management.
(F) Suicide attempts or
suicide.
(G) Deaths.
(b) As part of the review, a corrective action plan is developed based on the findings to address and resolve identified problems and concerns, including educational and training activities.
(c) A report of the findings of health care review is provided to the facility administrator.
