Sec. 9.

In addition to the provisions of the motor vehicle laws of Indiana, the operator of a vehicle or motor vehicle involved in an accident on the port roads or port area resulting in injury or death to any person or damage to any property, real or personal, shall immediately stop such vehicle or motor vehicle at the scene of the accident, render such assistance as may be needed, and give his or her name, address, license numbers, and registration number to the person injured, or to the person sustaining the damage, and to the port director.
