Passenger platforms not higher than 8 inches above the top of rail may be constructed and maintained with faces not less than 5 feet 1 inch from the centerline of an adjacent track. Passenger platforms less than 4 inches above the top of rail may be constructed and maintained with faces not less than 41/2 feet from the centerline of an adjacent track.
