Section 120.360 - Earned Income

a) All currently available income which is not specified as exempt is considered in the determination of eligibility.
b) Earned income is remuneration acquired through the receipt of salaries or wages for services performed as an employee or profits from an activity in which the individual is self-employed.
c) AFDC(MANG)
1) Earned income received through the Job
Training Partnership Act by dependent children who are full-time students or
who are part-time students and not employed full-time (i.e., working 100 hours
or more per month) is exempt (see 89 Ill. Adm. Code
112.140 for a
definition of "full-time student" and "part-time student"). Participants in Job
Corps are considered students.
2)
Earned income received through the Job Training Partnership Act by dependent
children who are not students as described in subsection (c)(1) of this Section
is exempt for six months each year.
d) AABD (MANG)
Earned income received through the Job Training Partnership Act must be budgeted against the AABD MANG standard.
e) When the amount of earned income to consider is determined, the cents are dropped from each payment amount.
