Section 104.207 - Notice of Contested Paternity Hearing

a) In a matter referred to a Department Hearing Officer pursuant to 89 Ill. Adm. Code 160.61(c)(3) for a contested paternity hearing, the Department shall notify the alleged father of the hearing in writing, setting forth:

1) the time, place and nature of the hearing;

2) the legal authority and jurisdiction under which the hearing is to be held;

3) a reference to the particular Sections of the substantive and procedural statutes and rules involved;

4) the consequences of the failure to appear at the hearing; and

5) the Title IV-D case name and identification number, the names and birthdates of the children he is alleged to have fathered and the name of the mother.

b) No request for a hearing or other pleading need be filed in response to the notice.
