Subpart AA - PAINT AND INK MANUFACTURING
Section 219.620 - Applicability

a) This Subpart shall apply to all paint and ink manufacturing sources which:
1) Include process emission units not subject
to Subparts B, E, F (excluding Section
219.204(l)
of this Part), H (excluding Section
219.405
of this Part), Q, R, S, T (excluding Section
219.486 of
this Part), V, Y, Z or BB of this Part, and which as a group both:
A) Have maximum theoretical emissions of 91
Mg (100 tons) or more per calendar year of VOM if no air pollution control
equipment were used, and
B) Are not
limited to less than 91 Mg (100 tons) of VOM emissions per calendar year in the
absence of air pollution control equipment, through production or capacity
limitations contained in a federally enforceable permit or a SIP revision,
or
2) Produce more than
7,570,820 1 (2,000,000 gal) per calendar year of paint or ink formulations,
which contain less than 10 percent (by weight) water, and ink formulations not
containing as the primary solvents water, Magie oil or glycol.
b) For the purposes of this Subpart, uncontrolled VOM emissions are the emissions of VOM which would result if no air pollution control equipment were used.
