Section 218.206 - Solids Basis Calculation

Limitations in terms of kg (lbs) of VOM emissions per 1 (gal) of solids as applied at each coating applicator shall be determined by the following equation:

The limitation on VOM emissions in terms of kg VOM/l (lbs VOM/gal) of solids;

C

=

The limitation on VOM emissions in terms of kg/l (lbs/gal) of coating (minus water and any compounds which are specifically excluded from the definition of VOM) specified in Section 218.204 of this Part;

D

=

The density of VOM in the coating. For the purposes of calculating S, the density is 0.882 kg VOM/l VOM (7.36 lbs VOM/gal VOM).
