Section 58.01.16.202 - CLASSIFICATION OF PUBLIC WASTEWATER SYSTEMS

01. Classification Requirement. All public wastewater systems shall be classified based on indicators of potential health risks. (3-31-22)

a. Classification rating forms developed in accordance with the criteria in Subsection 202.02 must be completed by the public wastewater system owner or designee for every public wastewater treatment system and wastewater collection system no later than July 1, 2008. Public wastewater treatment and wastewater collection system owners or designee shall submit additional classification rating forms at five (5) year intervals or when directed by the Department to submit a revised classification rating form. (3-31-22)

b. The Department shall review system classification rating forms and issue the final system classification. (3-31-22)

02. Classification Criteria. Public wastewater treatment systems and wastewater collection systems shall be classified under a system that uses the following criteria: (3-31-22)

a. Complexity, size, volume and variability in raw waste for treatment systems using guidelines established by the Department. (3-31-22)

b. Complexity or size of collection systems. (3-31-22)

c. Other criteria deemed necessary to completely classify systems. (3-31-22)
