Rule 39.02.45 - RULES GOVERNING FEES FOR LAPSED REGISTRATION PERIODS
Section 39.02.45.100 - GENERAL PROVISIONS

01. Expired Registration Renewal. If an applicant for motor vehicle registration renewal is renewing an expired registration, they will be assessed registration fees for the established registration period, regardless of the month they renew. Registration expired for more than one (1) year will not be assessed fees retroactively.

02. Expired License Plate Renewal. The applicant's license plate may be used for renewal under the following conditions:

a. The license plate was originally issued to the applicant.

b. The license plate is designed and numbered correctly.

c. The license plate is in serviceable condition.
