Notification Devices. When fire alarm systems not needed by the International Fire Code are installed, the notification devices need to meet the minimum design and installation requirements for systems that are prescribed by this code. Intent: (Non-prescribed fire alarm systems will provide the same level of occupant notification that prescribed systems provide). (3-31-22)
