Section 16.04.17.405 - AGENCY QUALITY ASSURANCE PROGRAM

Each agency must develop and implement a quality assurance program. (3-17-22)

01. What the Quality Assurance Program Verifies. The quality assurance program is an ongoing, proactive, internal review of the agency designed to verify: (3-17-22)

a. Services are provided in accordance with these rules; (3-17-22)

b. Sufficient staff are available to meet the needs of each person served; (3-17-22)

c. Skill training activities are conducted as written in the program plans. (3-17-22)

d. The rights of a person with disabilities are protected and each person is provided opportunities and training to make informed choices. (3-17-22)

02. Quality Assurance Program Components. Each agency's written quality assurance program must include: (3-17-22)

a. Goals and procedures to be implemented to achieve the purpose of the quality assurance program; (3-17-22)

b. Person, discipline, or department responsible for each goal; (3-17-22)

c. A system to ensure the correction of problems identified within a specified period of time; (3-17-22)

d. A method for assessing participant satisfaction at least annually including minimum criteria for participant response and alternate methods to gather information if minimum criteria is not met; (3-17-22)

e. An annual review of agency's policy and procedure manual signed and dated by the administrator that specifies content of revisions made; and (3-17-22)

f. An annual review of participant and employee records for complete and current content to meet rules. (3-17-22)
