Rule 16.03.11 - INTERMEDIATE CARE FACILITIES FOR PEOPLE WITH INTELLECTUAL DISABILITIES (ICFS/IID)

Each ICF/IID that transports individuals must have a vehicle safety policy that meets the following:
01. Vehicle Safety Policy Content. Each ICF/IID must develop, implement, monitor, and maintain a written vehicle safety policy for each vehicle owned, leased, or used that includes:
a. The establishment of a preventative maintenance program for each vehicle;
b. Vehicle inspections and other regular maintenance needed to ensure individuals' safety; and
c. Inspection of wheelchair lifts, securing devices, and other devices necessary to ensure individuals' safety.
02. Motor Vehicle Licensing Requirements. Each ICF/IID must meet and adhere to all laws, rules, and regulations, including licensing, registration, and insurance requirements applicable to drivers and vehicles for each vehicle type used.
