Rule 16.03.02 - SKILLED NURSING FACILITIES
Section 16.03.02.108 - ENVIRONMENTAL SANITATION

The following requirements must be met: (3-17-22)
01. Water Supply. An approved public or municipal water supply is used wherever available. (3-17-22)
a. In areas where an approved public or
municipal water supply is not available, a private water supply is provided,
and meets the standards approved by the Department. (3-17-22)
b. If water is from a private supply, water
samples are submitted to the Department through the district public health
laboratory for bacteriological examination at least once every three (3)
months. Monthly bacteriological examinations are recommended. Copies of the
laboratory reports are kept on file in the facility by the administrator.

c. There is sufficient
amount of water under adequate pressure to meet the sanitary requirements of
the facility at all times. (3-17-22)
02. Linen-Laundry Facilities. Personal Laundry. Residents' and employees' laundry must be collected, transported, sorted, washed, and dried in a sanitary manner and not be washed with bed linens. Residents' clothing is to be labeled to ensure proper return to the owner. (3-17-22)
