Rule 13.01.12 - RULES GOVERNING COMMERCIAL FISHING
Section 13.01.12.700 - COMMERCIAL FISHING AREAS

Commercial harvest is allowed only in the following areas: (3-31-22)

01. For Seine Nets. Seine nets with a mesh greater than one and one half (1 1/2") square may be used ONLY in the following waters, except as specifically approved by the Director for other waters: (3-31-22)

a. Snake River and main stem impoundments from Hells Canyon Dam upstream to the confluence of the North and South Forks. (3-31-22)

b. Ashton Reservoir. (3-31-22)

c. Palisades Reservoir. (3-31-22)

d. Lake Lowell. (3-31-22)

e. Black Canyon Reservoir. (3-31-22)

f. Blackfoot Reservoir. (3-31-22)

g. Mud Lake. (3-31-22)

h. Bear River and main stem impoundments from Utah state line upstream to and including Alexander Reservoir. (3-31-22)

02. Minnow Traps. Minnow traps for commercial fish may be used only in the following areas, except as specifically approved by the Director for other waters. (3-31-22)

a. Snake River excluding main stem impoundments from Weiser upstream to the confluence of the North and South Forks. (3-31-22)

b. Ashton Reservoir. (3-31-22)

c. Palisades Reservoir. (3-31-22)

d. Black Canyon Reservoir. (3-31-22)

e. Blackfoot Reservoir. (3-31-22)

f. Mud Lake. (3-31-22)

g. Bear River and main stem impoundments from Utah state line upstream to and including Alexander Reservoir. (3-31-22)

03. Crayfish Traps. Crayfish traps for commercial crustacea may be used only in the following areas, except as specifically approved by the Director: (3-31-22)

a. Snake River and main stem impoundments from Hells Canyon Dam upstream to the confluence of the North and South Forks. (3-31-22)

b. Black Canyon Reservoir. (3-31-22)

c. Blackfoot Reservoir. (3-31-22)

d. Mud Lake. (3-31-22)

e. Bear River and main stem impoundments from Utah state line upstream to and including Alexander Reservoir. (3-31-22)

04. Rod and Reel for Lake Trout Only. (3-31-22)

a. Lake Pend Oreille. (3-31-22)

05. Gill Nets. Gill nets for commercial fish may only be approved by the Director where commercial nongame species are likely to exceed eighty percent (80%) of the fish biomass. (3-31-22)
