Section 13.01.10.201 - DISEASE OF CAPTIVE WILDLIFE

The Department and ISDA will mutually determine diseases and parasites of concern and mechanisms and procedures for control of diseases and parasites in captive wildlife. Such mechanisms and procedures include but are not limited to examination, testing, quarantine, and slaughter or destruction, at the owner's expense, of individual animals or herds that are infected with or affected by diseases or parasites that may have significant detrimental effect on native wildlife, other captive wildlife, livestock or the public health of the citizens of the state of Idaho. ISDA authorizes such disease and parasite control measures under Title 25, Chapter 2, Idaho Code. (4-6-23)
